How to Insert and Open PDF in OneNote on Windows/Mac Open OneNote, and go to the page where you want to insert the PDF. Make sure youre in editing mode. Go to the toolbar, and click Insert. Select the PDF you want to insert into OneNote. Once your PDF is uploaded, it should be on the page.
Export notes from OneNote as a PDF On the page you want to export, choose File Export. Under Export Current, choose what you want to export. Choose PDF (*pdf) Export. In the Save as dialog box, choose where you want to save your file. Give the file a name, and choose Save.
Open the document or file that you want to send to OneNote (for example, Microsoft Word for document files, or a browser for web pages). Select the Print option in the application. From the list of printers, choose Send to OneNote. Choose Print, and OneNote will open behind your application.
Click anywhere on the page where you want to insert a PDF file as a printout. Click Insert PDF Printout. In the Choose a file to Insert dialog box, click the PDF file you want to print to OneNote, and then click Insert. OneNote inserts in sequential order each page from the selected PDF file as a separate picture.
The maximum capacity of downloaded file attachments is temporarily set at 100 MB. Because most OneNote clients limit file uploads to 50 MB, this change shouldnt affect most attachments. The following workarounds enable users to download larger file attachments: Attach as a cloud file.
Insert as attachment Select Insert File. In the dialog box that appears, locate and select the file you want to insert, and then click Open. In the dialog box that appears, click Insert as attachment. In the box that appears, select the file and select Open.
