hello and welcome to extract url from hyperlinks my name is jeff im glad youre here lets just jump right in basically we have an excel workbook and we have a bunch of hyperlinks when i hover over the hyperlink friendly text like exo university i get a preview of the underlying url thats stored in that hyperlink so when i click this hyperlink it will take me to excel university.com if i hover over this hyperlink i see the underlying url thats stored in this hyperlink is microsoft.com and the underlying url here is google.com so what wed like to do is extract these urls into some cells over here by using a formula now unfortunately at least as of the time im shooting this video there is no like url function that i can you know do like this and hit enter right like that function doesnt exist the good news is its pretty easy to create that custom function what were going to do is were going to hit alt f11 to open up the visual basic editor and im going to right click on whateve

Use the mouse to right-click on the selected cell(s) then, from the right-click menu, select the option Remove Hyperlink (or Remove Hyperlinks if you have more than one cell selected). This option removes the hyperlinks and the formatting from the selected cell(s).
For this, right-click a cell holding the link, and select Edit Hyperlink from the context menu or press the Crtl+K shortcut or click the Hyperlink button on the ribbon. Whichever you do, the Edit Hyperlink dialog box will show up. You make the desired changes to the link text or link location or both, and click OK.
Break a link On the Data tab, in the Connections group, click Edit Links. Note: The Edit Links command is unavailable if your file does not contain linked information. In the Source list, click the link that you want to break. Click Break Link.
After calling a Hyperlinks collection under a range, you can remove them easily with a Delete command. All you need to do is determining the range. You can use the Selection object for selected cells or ranges, and ActiveSheet. UsedRange for the entire worksheet.
Heres how: Click the cell with the hyperlink. On the Home tab, right-click the Hyperlink style and pick Modify. In the Style box, click Format. Click Font, choose your formatting options and click OK. Click OK to close the Style box.
The method to remove hyperlinks in Excel is to select the cell or the column containing hyperlinks, right-click on it, and select the Remove Hyperlinks option.
In Excel: Select all cells that contain hyperlinks, or press Ctrl+A to select all cells. Right-click, and then click Remove Hyperlinks.
From the Editing group on the Home tab of the Excel ribbon, select the option Clear Remove Hyperlinks (see above). Note that this command will remove the hyperlinks in the selected cell(s), but the formatting of the cell(s) will remain unchanged.
