Adding the list-style: none CSS class to the unordered list () or ordered list () tag removes any bullet or number.
So, recap: to select a html element, the css selector is without a dot, if you need to select a class, you use the dot.
The dot( . ) signifies a class name while the hash ( # ) signifies an element with a specific id attribute. The class will apply to any element decorated with that particular class, while the # style will only apply to the element with that particular id.
A dot in css is for what is called a class. They can be called almost anything, for example in your CSS you would create a class and add style for it (in this case, Im making the background black); . my-first-class { background-color: #000; }
It can be easily done by setting the CSS list-style or list-style-type property to none. The list-style-type CSS property is used to set the marker (like a disc, character, or the custom counter style) of a list item element. This CSS property helps us to create the list without bullets.
The dot operator is used to create a style class which can then be applied on multiple html elements.
The dot operator is used to create a style class which can then be applied on multiple html elements.
The dot prefix indicates that it is a class selector and will match an HTML element which is a member of the given class. To make an element a member of a class, the class name is added to the space separated list given as the value of the class attribute.
