A frozen object can no longer be changed: new properties cannot be added, existing properties cannot be removed, their enumerability, configurability, writability, or value cannot be changed, and the objects prototype cannot be re-assigned.
Sealing an object prevents extensions and makes existing properties non-configurable. A sealed object has a fixed set of properties: new properties cannot be added, existing properties cannot be removed, their enumerability and configurability cannot be changed, and its prototype cannot be re-assigned.
Object. freeze works on values, and more specifically, object values. It makes an object immutable, i.e. you cannot change its properties. Basically, const is the new var ; its just block-scoped and prevents reassignment.
freeze makes an object completely immutable, while Object. seal allows existing properties to be modified, but prevents the addition and deletion of new properties.
An object is sealed if it is not extensible and if all its properties are non-configurable and therefore not removable (but not necessarily non-writable).
A Freezable provides a Changed event to notify observers of any modifications to the object. Freezing a Freezable can improve its performance, because it no longer needs to spend resources on change notifications. A frozen Freezable can also be shared across threads, while an unfrozen Freezable cannot.
freeze() method freezes an object. As I mentioned previously, it provides the ability to prevent object extension entirely. i.e. new properties can not be added to the object nor its possible to update the existing properties.
Sealing an object prevents extensions and makes existing properties non-configurable. A sealed object has a fixed set of properties: new properties cannot be added, existing properties cannot be removed, their enumerability and configurability cannot be changed, and its prototype cannot be re-assigned.
