hi my name is Justin Conway today Im going to talk about how to delete footers out of Microsoft Excel sometimes the footer can be hidden if youre in normal view in Microsoft Excel itll sort of hide the options that are available to you but there are various ways to get to them and Ill show you how so here I have a spreadsheet open then Im in normal view and so you cant see any footers here but if you go into view and select page layout itll now show you when you hover over the area theres your header and scroll down a little bit theres your footer if you double click in the footer if there were any text here lets just make an example real quick we can click out so now theres a footer we can just double click in there delete and your footers gone you can also in page four you use the sidebar here to make your foot or bigger or smaller if youd like to adjust that margin the other ways to go about finding your header and footer are to click on layout and you can click on that

On the Layout tab, in the Margins menu (found on the far left of the navigation bar), click Custom Margins. A Page Setup menu will appear. Under the Layout tab of this pop-up menu, make sure Vertical alignment is set to Top. Make sure you dont have extra space in the header.
Click anywhere in the table. Go to the Table tab on the Ribbon. In the Table Style Options group, select the Header Row check box to hide or display the table headers.
Go to File Info Check for Issues Inspect Document. From the Document Inspector dialog box, deselect all checkboxes except Headers and Footers checkbox. If the Document Inspector found some headers or footers in the workbook, you will see a button to remove them all.
To select an entire column: press and hold the Ctrl key, then press the Spacebar. For example, if you want to select column A, press Ctrl+Spacebar while the cursor is anywhere in column A. To select an entire row: press and hold the Shift key, then press the Spacebar.
On the status bar, click the Page Layout View button. Select the header or footer text you want to change. On the Home tab in the Font group, set the formatting options that you want to apply to the header / footer. When youre done, click the Normal view button on the status bar.
