Once a file is saved with redactions applied, theres no way to get the information back. If you overwrite the original PDF with the redacted version, the redacted information is gone forever.
Redaction is the process of permanently removing visible text and graphics from a document. You use the Redact tools to remove content. In place of the removed items, you can have redaction marks that appear as colored boxes, or you can leave the area blank.
If the redaction isnt burned into the image so that it cannot be removed, the redacted data can still be viewed. Especially when your images are docHub PDF files, the most common mistake is to redact by obscuring the text by drawing a black box over the text or images you want redacted.
Using the Redact feature, you can select a block of text and replace it with a black rectangle. This option removes the text completely from the document. The visual effect is the same as if, in a hard-copy page, the redacted text is blacked out with permanent marker. Open your PDF document.
How to Remove Symbols PDF: Upload your template to the uploading pane on the top of the page. Choose the Remove Symbols PDF feature in the editor`s menu. Make the required edits to the file. Push the orange Done button to the top right corner. Rename the form if it`s needed.
Open the PDF in Acrobat, and then do one of the following: Choose Tools Redact. On the Edit menu, choose Redact Text Images. Select the text or image in a PDF, right-click, and select Redact. Select the text or image in a PDF, choose Redact in the floating context-menu.
Besides being useful in legal settings, PDF redaction can be used to protect similarly sensitive information in professional communications between businesses or clients. Businesses can protect trade secrets and proprietary information when sharing documents.
1. Choose Protect Hidden Data Remove Hidden Information. 2. In the pop-up dialog box, select the document information you want to remove, and click OK.
