If you right-click on the layout you wish to edit, you can choose Hide Background Graphics. This removes all graphical elements from the Slide Master.
Open the presentation and go to the slide where you want to dim text. Select Animations. Select the first bullet point and choose an Entrance animation. For example, select Fade to fade the text in and out of view.
In the left navigation pane, select the slide you want to hide. Right-click the slide, and then click Hide Slide. A no symbol appears on the slide to indicate it is hidden:
Click the eye next to the highlighted textbox. The eye disappears and so does your text. If you wish to reveal the text, click the empty box where the eye previously was.
To hide or show an individual object on your slide, open the Selection Pane and select the show/hide button next to the object you want to hide, or show. To edit an object thats under another object, hide the object on top temporarily, make the changes you want, and then show the object on top again.
Youre going to want to use the Selection Pane. On the Home tab on the ribbon, find the Arrange button and collapse the attached menu. Then open the Selection Pane by clicking the option with the same name. Toggle the visibility of individual elements by clicking the eye icon next to their name.
#3 Hide the text via Selection Pane Select the text you want to hide. Go to Format, then click on Selection Pane. Hide the text by clicking on the eye icon. Now the text is hidden.
Click the View tab, click the Slide Master button, and then select the slide master (for all slides) or slide layout (for specific slides) you want to hide background objects. Select the Hide Background Graphics check box.
