How to Notarize Prevent Printing PDF

In this video tutorial, you'll learn how to restrict editing, copying, and printing of a PDF document. Simply right-click on the PDF file in Windows Explorer and choose "Make Secure PDF" to protect it. No specific controls need to be selected, just click "Publish" to confirm the protection status. The document will now have a .pdc extension indicating it's a secure PDF file. It can only be opened with a Lock Lizard Secure PDF Viewer. Printing is disabled by default, and other methods like using Ctrl+P are also blocked. This ensures the document remains secure.

Using a permissions password, you can restrict printing, editing, and copying content in the PDF. Recipients dont need a password to open the document in Reader or Acrobat. They do need a password to change the restrictions youve set.
Go to the Protect PDF tool. Drag and drop your PDF into the toolbox. Type the password youd like to set. Click Encrypt PDF to add the password to the PDF.
On Windows, just right-click your PDF and select Properties Read-only OK. On a Mac computer, the process is a little more complex. Select the PDF and click File Get Info. You can then set access rights under the Sharing Permissions tab.
To prevent the text and graphics from being copied from the PDF file, uncheck the Allow text and graphics to be copied option. You must always enter a master password when security options are enabled.
