hello and welcome to this excel tips video I am so mad Bansal and in this video Im going to show you how to make negative numbers show up in red color or in brackets so here I have these numbers and some of these numbers are negatives and as of now a negative number just has a minus sign in front of it what I want to do in this case is show these negative numbers in red color and there are a couple of ways to do this so the first method that Im going to show you is using conditional formatting so I would select this entire data set I would go to the Home tab and in conditional formatting here I would go to highlight cell rules and then click on less than and in less then I would make this number 0 so this would highlight anything which is less than 0 in the given format and that format right now is light red fill with dark red text so if that is fine with you you can just click OK or you can change this format so if you just want the red text then you click that and click OK you can
