so here is the trick we have a series of number mentioned over here right now some of the positive numbers like 14 have their corresponding negatives also and i have applied a subtotal formula over here now to identify the matching positive and negative well normally use three formulas so the first formula will be is equal to countif right then i will select this and i will select this again and im closing the bracket the only thing i need to do is to make this an absolute reference okay and i will close this the second formula will be is equal to countif select the full range make it absolute and a negative sign will put a negative sign and again select the same number right and the third formula will be is equal to formula one greater than formula two now we will drag it down right so whatever is coming in false okay whatever is coming as false will be totaling out to be zero
