This is useful for users that want to control the apparent line height of their text after a header. NOTE: using the shift + enter key board shortcut in this context will not work. Shift + Enter will force a break within a paragraph tag to give the appearance of single line spacing.
Remove Header and Footer (HTML Output) Select Layout and then edit the layout that you are going to use for publishing. Alternatively, you can create a new HTML layout and edit that. Select Toc and chunking. Set Suppress navigation to: Select Save.
Remove all headers and footers Go to Insert Header or Footer, and then select Remove Header or Remove Footer. If your document has more than one section, repeat this process for each section.
Re: I NEED TO COMPLETELY GET RID OF THE SPACE ALLOCATED TO HEADERS AND FOOTERS. On the Page Layout tab of the ribbon, in the Page Setup group, click Margins Custom Margins Set Top, Header, Bottom and Footer to 0, then click OK.
Removing the space between your header and your content Click the first element on the page (i.e. a Container or Image) Look for the Margins setting in the Settings section of the right sidebar. Disable the linked axis option. Set a negative margin on the top (i.e. -50px)
Google Chrome: Go to the Menu icon in the top right corner of the browser and Click on Print button. Uncheck the Headers and footers option underneath the Margins option.
Double-click inside the header or footer area. Select the text you want to change and type your new header or footer in its place. Select Close Header and Footer or double-click anywhere outside of the header or footer area to exit.
Click or tap where you want to start a new page without the header or footer. Go to Layout Breaks Next Page to create a section break. Double-click the header or footer area to open the Header Footer tab. Select Link to Previous to turn off the link between the sections.
