its been years um ive wanted to have a ham repeater in this area and i got one a few years ago and set it up temporarily yeah i think in the other video i mentioned its just basically thrown together and the antenna was thrown up on a roof it worked did pretty good and finally got the ok and the go ahead put it on a tower here in town so today we got that done ground elevation from the old site to the new site gained 130 feet plus tower height so thats only moving in about a mile and a half line of sight from where it was to where it is now so thats quite a improvement had the opportunity to try it out a little bit today in a couple places where it didnt really work great before and now its got a pretty good strong signal full signal on my radio and i was able to carry on a conversation and uh going north its working really good now used to get about six miles going north that would drop off now were pushing on 18 miles with full signal and uh we put the antenna on north side
