If you were to print a copy of your document, a friend might mark errors in red pen and offer suggestions in the margins. But Word offers a more efficient way - Track Changes and Comments. Turn on Track Changes in the Review tab to see all edits as markup. Deleted text is crossed out, added text is underlined. Comments can be added in the margins by selecting text and clicking New Comment. This tool helps the document owner review changes before finalizing them.

How do you modify the whole document in Word?

Style sets allow you to format all elements in your document at once instead of modifying each element separately. From the Design tab, click the More drop-down arrow in the Document Formatting group. Choose the desired style set from the drop-down menu. The selected style set will be applied to your entire document.
