Group Policy Editor: If you have Windows 10 Pro or Enterprise edition, you can use this. Press Windows + R and type gpedit. msc. Go to Computer Configuration Administrative Templates Windows Components Microsoft Edge and double-click Allow Microsoft Edge Side by Side browser experience. Select Disabled.
Microsoft Edge often freezes due to three common issues: a lack of system resources, conflicting extensions and using an obsolete version of the browser. There are several ways you can fix these issues, including closing unused tabs, repairing the Edge browser and disabling problematic extensions.
To solve this, delete the Edge Policies entirely in the Registry. Press the Windows+R keys on your keyboard, or right-click Start on the taskbar and select Run. Press Enter. Right-click the Edge folder currently selected and select the Delete option.
Here are the steps to disable Microsoft Edge: Open the Start menu and type PowerShell in the search bar. Right-click on Windows PowerShell and select Run as administrator. In the PowerShell window, type the following command and press Enter: Get-AppxPackage *MicrosoftEdge* | Remove-AppxPackage.
To do this, open Microsoft Edge and click on the three dots in the top right corner. Select Settings and then click on Reset settings. This will reset your browser settings to their default state and may remove any policies that were previously set.
Select Settings and more Settings Profiles Addresses and more. Turn on Save and fill addresses. The setting is on when it has a blue background, and its off when the background is white.
Open the group policy management editor and go to Administrative Templates Microsoft Edge Extensions, and then select Configure extension management settings. Enable the policy, then enter the permissions that you want allowed or blocked, compressing the permissions to a single JSON string.
Clear browsing history and cached data Clearing this cache will sometimes fix page display problems. If you can open Microsoft Edge, select Settings and more History Clear browsing data. Select All time under Time range; select Browsing history and Cached images and files, and then select Clear now.
