hi so what I want to show you here is how to disable these checkboxes on your icons so the reason why they appear is because you might have a touchcreen or your laptop is by default has that turned on so what youre going to do is youre going to go into Windows Explorer and you could get there in various ways so you might not have this screen and to make the screen appear theres a little carrot here or a down arrow and youre going to have to click on this arrow and its going to expose this menu here you want to go into view then you want to click right here into options and youre going to say change folder and search options and once you get there youre going to click view again and youre going to scroll all the way down and theres going to be a selection here use checkboxes to select items so the reason why these are here is so you could actually multi select and often times it allows you to multi select using their touch screen so if you dont want that you could uncheck this
