A popular workflow is to create PDF from a scanned document, either for an electronic archive or to modify a document when you only have the hardcopy. Let s look at how users can create, OCR and edit scanned documents using Foxit PDF Editor. The first step is to create a PDF document from a hardcopy document by using a scanner. The easiest way to accomplish this is to use the Scan button under the Home tab. We can choose the scanner, whether or not you want to create a new document, or append the scan to an existing document, or whether you want to OCR the file. Since the scanned image file is too large, we ll compress it by checking the Reduce size and Optimize , with this we would reduce the file size without affecting the document resolution.
