Select File Info. Select a property that starts with Add, like Add a title, Add a tag, or Add an author. Enter the information.
Here are the steps to do so: Select the files you want to edit the metadata for. Right-click on one of the selected files and select Properties. In the Properties window, switch to the Details tab. Select the metadata fields that you want to edit, then click on the Value column and type in the new values.
Click the File tab. Click Info to view the document properties. To add or change properties, hover your pointer over the property you want to update and enter the information. Note that for some metadata, such as Author, youll have to right-click on the property and choose Remove or Edit.
Open File Explorer by pressing the Windows key + E on your keyboard. Navigate to the folder where the file or folder you want to modify is located. Right-click on the file or folder and select Properties from the context menu.
Changing file attributes To view or change the attributes of a file, right-click the file, and then click Properties. In the Attributes: section, enabled attributes have checks beside them. Add or remove the checks from Read-only, Archive, or Hidden to enable or disable these options.
Find the file whose properties you want to change, and then select it. On the Home tab, tap or click Properties. In the Properties dialog box, tap or click the Details tab. Under Value, tap or click next to the property that you want to change, enter a word or phrase, and then tap or click OK.
Right-click on the file. View its Properties. If there is metadata that you would like to remove, select the Details tab. Click Remove Properties and Personal Information.
