Unlock an Object You can unlock an item on your slide just as easily as you can lock one. Either right-click the object and select Unlock or click the Padlock in the Selection Pane to unlock it. Keep your slide objects and items save from accidental moves with the Lock feature in PowerPoint.
Select the PowerPoint slide/s containing locked shape(s) you need to unlock, then click Unlock objects (Found beneath the Lock Object icon on the PPT Productivity Ribbon). The file will close momentarily and reopen (you need to first save your document to a local drive).
When PowerPoint opens a read-only file it will not allow modifications to the file until read-only flags are removed. Click File Info. Review the Presentations status. Right-click File Properties. Uncheck read-only.
Simply select the slide/s containing the locked shape(s) you need to unlock, then click Unlock shapes (Found beneath the Lock Shape icon on the PPT Productivity Ribbon). The file will again close momentarily and reopen.
At the bottom of the Save As window, click Tools. Select General Options from the context menu. Click the Password to Modify box, then enter any password you want. Save the changes by clicking OK.
