we are going to talk about form field validation using javascript and I have the Nautilus travel job description - validation form open and this is a form that has a lot of different text fields within it it has two radio buttons for yes and no and a drop-down menu the other piece it has is at the bottom there are two signature fields and for open text areas now one of the things you want to do when looking at this form as a form designer is determining if you really want all of these fields to be big open text fields because that allows the user to put in any information they want and it might not even be related to the content you want so you have to consider how a user would enter their information and specifically what information might they enter so things like this regarding location if there are preset locations its a good idea to do it this way otherwise people may end up writing in San Francisco or New York in a variety of ways they may also try and add the state because we

Make sure that the security settings allow form filling. (See File Properties Security.) Make sure that the PDF includes interactive, or fillable, form fields. Sometimes form creators forget to convert their PDFs to interactive forms, or they intentionally design a form you can only fill in by hand.
From the PDF editor panel, select the Field type dropdown. Select the field type you would like to change the PDF field to from the list. Your changes will be saved automatically.
How to create fillable PDF files: Open Acrobat: Click on the Tools tab and select Prepare Form. Select a file or scan a document: Acrobat will automatically analyze your document and add form fields. Add new form fields: Use the top toolbar and adjust the layout using tools in the right pane. Save your fillable PDF:
This can be done by following the steps below: Open the PDF document in docHub. Select the Prepare Form tool. Select the form field(s) to unlock. Open the form field properties window. Uncheck Locked checkbox in bottom-left corner. Uncheck Read Only checkbox. Re-check Locked checkbox and select Close
A distinctive sign (* symbol, mandatory mention, etc.) must be provided in the label of each mandatory field. If a symbol is used to declare mandatory fields, a statement placed at the beginning of the form must indicate that the symbol stands for a mandatory field.
If you can only preview a PDF, it may be that you cant edit the file because the permission level is set to read-only or view-only. One way around this may be to export your PDF from docHub to another application like Microsoft Word, then resaving the file as a PDF in the Save As function.
To avoid accidental changes to the form field, select Locked in the lower-left corner of the Properties dialog box before you close it. To unlock, click the option again.
Change the field type. From the PDF editor panel, select the Field type dropdown. Select the field type you would like to change the PDF field to from the list. Your changes will be saved automatically.
You can edit text only if the font used for that text is installed on your system. If the font isnt installed on your system, but is embedded in the PDF, you can change only the color or font size. If the font is not installed or embedded, you cant edit any of the text.
If you cant type into a form field on a pdf, it may be due to a browsers default viewer for pdfs. Fillable forms require docHub or Acrobat Reader/Acrobat DC to fill them out online or on your computer. Many browsers use a different pdf viewer by default that doesnt support fillable form fields.
