Use ⇧ Shift + number keys for @, #, and other common symbols. Youve probably noticed that the number keys at the top of your Macs keyboard have extra symbols on them, including !, @, #, $, and %. To type any of those symbols, hold down Shift while pressing the number key with the symbol you want on it.
Its the Apple logo at the far left corner of the top menu bar on your Macs screen. Click System Preferences. Click the Language Region icon. It looks like a flag.
Select the cells or table you want to format. In the Format sidebar, click the Cell tab, then click the Data Format pop-up menu and choose Currency.
For Mac devices, you can press Alt (or Option) and the number 2 key. For US keyboards, you may need to hold down the Shift key as well.
