Place your cursor where you want the conditional text to go. Go to Mailings Rules IfThen Else. In the Field name list choose the field from your data source that will determine the conditional text.
Word does not have a simple method for Conditional Formatting. You will need to use VBA for that. See the post Conditional Formatting in a table on MS Word which shows a Coronavirus risk-assessment table.
In Microsoft Word, click the Insert tab. Click Quick Parts in the Text group, then click Field. Select If in the Field names box on the left side panel. The Field codes box will automatically input IF into the field.
For Windows users: Open Microsoft Word. Go to the Insert tab. Click Quickparts and select Field from the dropdown. Under the Field names list, select If. Under Field Codes, enter your conditional statement. For example: IF {{ADDRESSBILLINGCITY}} = San Francisco Home Away Click OK.
You can also use conditional formatting to determine whether a control is visible on the form when users fill it out, whether the control is disabled, or whether to enable users to add or remove certain controls, such as optional sections.
One way is go to Insert tab Text group Quick Parts Field Formula button, then enter the formula. The another way, you could press Alt and F9 at the same time, it will go to the Edit Mode for Field Codes. Press Ctrl and F9 at the same time to enter {}, then enter the formula inside the curly brackets.
How to add conditional logic in Microsoft Forms Open up the three-dot menu. Select Add branching. Select the dropdown menu. Skip to another question. Skip to another section. Skip to the end of the form. Test the logic.
