when you own a Google Doc you have total control over user permissions and you can delete the doc whenever you please but if you need to pass these responsibilities on to someone else you can transfer ownership of the document to another person first youll need to open a Google Doc that you are the owner of then click the share button youll see a list of everyone youve shared the document with you can transfer ownership to one of these people or you can email an invitation to someone new just type their email address into the text box and click send once you decide on the new owner click the drop-down arrow by their name and select make owner youll need to confirm your choice just in case you have second thoughts about this permanent change once youre sure click yes that person will immediately become the owner of the document your permission will change to editor unless the new owner changes it to something else also you will no longer be able to delete the document this feature

Unlock a protected document On the Review tab, in the Protect group, click Restrict Editing. In the Restrict Editing task pane, click Stop Protection. If you are prompted to provide a password, type the password.
Double-click the header or footer . Select Document Info, and choose the information you want. Note: Select Document Property to select additional information, such as Title, Company, or Subject. Select Close Header and Footer or press Esc to exit.
If you have a printed copy of a document and would like to be able to edit it, you can do it using Word. First, scan the copy, and then use Microsoft OneNote to turn it into an editable document and send it to Microsoft Word. It has the ability to perform OCR on a wide range of documents, including PDF OCR.
You can edit the company name directly in the File Info Properties for each template (except the blank document template) you want to change the company name.
Open Word, Excel or PowerPoint and go to File Info Properties Show All Properties. Here you can see the company name is changed to the new name as you entered in the registry editor. The change will reflect only in the new blank document template called Normal.
Select the Insert tab. in the Text group on the Ribbon, click the Quick Parts drop-down and select Field to open the Field dialog box. In the Categories list, select either (All) or Document Information, In the Field names list, select DocProperty.
To make changes to a document, in the upper-right corner, select Edit Document Edit. If someone else created the document, they might not allow editing. You can go to File Save as, save it with another name, and edit the new document. Or you can ask the document owner to enable editing.
Click the File tab. Click Info to view the document properties. To add or change properties, hover your pointer over the property you want to update and enter the information. Note that for some metadata, such as Author, youll have to right-click on the property and choose Remove or Edit.
You can use any device connected to the internet to edit documents. Just go to the ScanWritr web, and upload the document that you want to edit. Then fill it, sign it, preview it, and export it. Thats it!
The file might be locked because: The file is shared and another user is currently editing it. An instance of the Office app is running in the background with the file already opened. The file has been marked as Final and can no longer be updated.
