Change your groups name, description, and email settings Sign in to Google Groups. Click the name of a group. On the left, click Group settings. In the General section, make your changes. Using the Admin console Sign in to your Google Admin console. In the Admin console, go to Menu Directory. Click the name of a group. Click Access Settings to review the settings for group members. Scroll down on the page to see who can join the group and whether external members are allowed.
Navigate to Google Contacts. From the sidebar, select the group label you wish to edit. Check the box next to each contact you wish to remove from the group label. In the upper-right corner, click the [More actions] icon (3 vertical dots) Select Remove from label.
How to change a Member Name in Google Groups. Right click on the Member Name. Choose Inspect. Highlight the Name in the mass of hypertext that you see. Choose Edit Text. Make your changes. Hit Enter. The name is stored in the hypertext. When you add a new member, Google replaces all the names with the e-mails.
