In the field heading, type a name for the calculated field and then press Enter. Note: To change or edit the output of a calculated field, select the column. Then, select Fields Modify Expression.
Overview STEP 1: Select anywhere on your Pivot Table. Go to PivotTable Analyze Fields, Items, Sets Calculated Field. STEP 2: Click on the dropdown list so that you can see all of the existing Calculated Fields. STEP 3: Select COGS and now you will see two buttons: Modify and Delete.
First, select any cell in the pivot table. Then, on the Options tab of the PivotTable Tools ribbon, click Fields, Items Sets, then choose Calculated Field. Next, select the calculated field you want to work with from the name drop-down list. You can now update the formula as you like.
Edit a chart-specific calculated field Chart-specific calculated fields appear in the Setup tab of the charts Properties panel. When you hover your cursor over the field type next to the field name, an fx symbol will appear. To edit the formula, click fx.
On the Analyze tab, in the Calculations group, click Fields, Items, Sets, and then click Calculated Field. In the Name box, select the calculated field for which you want to change the formula. In the Formula box, edit the formula. Click Modify.
Edit a calculated column To update a calculated column, click any cell in the calculated column and edit the formula in that cell and press ENTER. Excel will automatically extend the formula to the remaining table column cells.
Editing a pivot table In the Workbook tab, double-click a table or click the Edit control in any table. The selected table is placed in edit mode. You can manually update the table column and row headers and the table cell values. Click x to exit pivot table edit mode.
Deleting a Calculated Field Click a cell in the PivotTable. Click PivotTable Tools Analyze Calculations Fields, Items, Sets Calculated Field. In the Name box, click the drop-down arrow. Select the field to delete. Click Delete. Click Close.
