On the Analyze tab, in the Calculations group, click Fields, Items, Sets, and then click Calculated Field. In the Name box, select the calculated field for which you want to change the formula. In the Formula box, edit the formula. Click Modify.
Edit a chart-specific calculated field Chart-specific calculated fields appear in the Setup tab of the charts Properties panel. When you hover your cursor over the field type next to the field name, an fx symbol will appear. To edit the formula, click fx.
Edit a data sources from within a report While youre editing a report, you can see all data sources that are used by that report in Resources menu: Edit your report. In the menus, select Resource Manage added data sources. Locate the data source in the list,;then, to the right, click Edit.
Drag and drop fields into the calculation editor. Drag and drop formulas from the calculation editor to the Data pane. Use the functions reference in the calculation editor. Take advantage of auto-complete for formulas. Drag table calculations into the calculation editor to edit them. Resize text in the calculation editor.
Click the PivotTable. On the Analyze tab, in the Calculations group, click Fields, Items, Sets, and then click Calculated Field. In the Name box, select the calculated field for which you want to change the formula. In the Formula box, edit the formula. Click Modify.
In the field heading, type a name for the calculated field and then press Enter. Note: To change or edit the output of a calculated field, select the column. Then, select Fields Modify Expression.
Create a calculated field in data source Step 1: Open added data sources. In the Looker Studio report, go to Resources Manage added data sources. Step 2: Edit a data source. Click Edit against the data source you want to create a calculated field into. Step 3: Click Add a Field. Step 4: Enter the field name formula.
To change the field type, use the Type drop-down menu in the data source edit page. If the field editing in reports option is enabled for the data source, you can also change field types directly in reports based on this data source.
