In the Preview app on your Mac, open the file you want to change. Choose Tools Adjust Size, then select Resample image. Enter a smaller value in the Resolution field. The new size is shown at the bottom.
With Acrobat Pro open, go to File Open. After your file is open, Go to File Save as Other Reduced Size PDF. Select the Acrobat version that is compatible with the features in your PDF file.
Do your best work on your Mac with Acrobat Pro. Launch Acrobat Pro. Open the Optimize PDF tool. Locate your file and click Open. Click Reduce File Size in the top menu. Select appropriate compatibility settings and click OK. Name your file and click Save.
Choose File Reduce File Size (from the File menu at the top of the screen). Select the adjustments you want to make: Scale down large images: Images are scaled to the resolution used in the document while preserving visual quality.
How to make a PDF file size smaller. Visit Acrobat online services and navigate to the Compress page by clicking Compress in the menu. Click or tap on the Select a file button. Choose the file from your device or from a cloud service like Google Drive. Your file will upload and compress.
How to compress a file on your Mac Navigate to the file in the Finder. Control-click on it and choose Compress. Wait for the file to be compressed. You will see a new version of the file with the extension . zip.
How to minimize a window screen on a Mac Click the yellow button in the top-left corner of the window when you do, the screen will disappear and a small icon of it will appear in your dock. Use the keyboard command Command+M to minimize the screen. Press Control + Command + F.
There are a few simple things you can do to help keep file sizes down: Use low resolution versions of your images where possible. Compress images within Word or PowerPoint documents. Use Save As Save as PDF (as a last resort)
