How to Create a Zip Code Map with Maptive Step #1: Sign up for a free Maptive trial account. Step #2: Login and click on Create My First Map. Step #3: Name your map, and add a description. Click Continue. Step #4: Now, paste your data into the input area or upload your Excel spreadsheet data or import a Google sheet.
To see it yourself, go to Google Maps and search for a city name or even a zip code. You will see a pinkish highlight around the border. Based on your zoom level, as you zoom out, Google will highlight the whole area, not just the borders, in the pink color.

Search for a location or zoom in on the map until you can see the area you want to see zip codes for. In the map legend, click the Zoom to area button. Type in the zip code you want to see in the search box and press Enter. Google Maps will zoom in on the area and highlight the boundary of the zip code.
