Represents a mapping between fields in an object in the org and fields in a data service. A data service uses two separate field maps: one controls how the data service matches records in an object, and the other controls how the data service adds or updates data for an existing record.
Conditional Field Mapping allows you to control whether or not a value or field is written to a target datastore based on the contents of the source data. For example, if there is a NULL value in a source field, you can choose to overwrite target data with the NULL value or skip that field when updating a record.
A field mapping describes how a persistent field maps to the database. If necessary, it also contains data on how to link the field to the data of its owning object, and how to link the field to the data of any related objects (if the field represents a relation to one or more other persistent objects).
Map image layers do not support web-based editing; however, you can optionally share an editable feature layer when you share the map image layer.
To make only one layer editable in your map or scene, right-click the layer, and click Make this the only editable layer. On the View tab, in the Windows group, click Contents . The Contents pane appears. Click the List By Editing tab . Right-click the layer you want to edit and click Make this the only editable layer .
None of the layers in your map can be edited. You cannot start an edit session on this data. Solution: Make sure that the data you want to edit is in a format that can be edited in ArcGIS and that you have the proper permissions to edit it.
On the Settings page, navigate to the Feature Layer (hosted) section. Under Editing, check the Enable editing check box.
Prepare an editable layer Decide how to create the layer. Use a template in ArcGIS Online or ArcGIS Enterprise. Import data in ArcGIS Online or ArcGIS Enterprise. Create a feature class in ArcGIS Pro. Import data in ArcGIS Pro. Define the fields to prepare the form. Restrict editing permissions.
