here is how you can make a plausibly 18th century looking map using a handful of layers that we can find in living Atlas and well assemble it in arcgis online lets do this here I am in arcgis online Ive got an imagery based map but I wanna pull in a different base map from living Alice Ill search living Atlas for okay and Ill add the Khaki map pay no attention to this so now Ive got a khaki base map which is just based on the human geography map made by Andy Skinner fantastic cartographer and Ill tell you what the Human Geography base map upon which this is based is so useful and flexible and charming and lets just make this look old-fashioned shalllll weee Ill dig into this khaki base map now Id like to add in some like water colory tinting of water like youd see in Old maps from the 16 17 1800s so Im going to add a layer from living Atlas wherein lies much base map glories called symmetry dark and this is just a vector bathymetry layer
