Double-click a PDF or image file to open it in the Preview app. Select one or more files, then choose File Open With Preview. To open a document in iCloud Drive, click iCloud Drive in the Finder sidebar, then double-click the PDF to open it. See Store files in iCloud Drive.
You can free up storage in iCloud by deleting content that youre not using: Check Recommended for You. Reduce the size of your iCloud Backup. Delete photos in iCloud Photos.
Turn on Desktop and Documents From your Mac, choose Apple menu  System Settings. Click Apple ID, then click iCloud. Under Apps Using iCloud, click iCloud Drive. Below iCloud Drive, check that Sync this Mac is turned on. Turn on Desktop Documents Folders. Click Done.
Check your iCloud storage on your Mac On your Mac, do one of the following: macOS 13 or later: Choose Apple menu System Settings, click [your name] at the top of the sidebar, then click iCloud. macOS 12 or earlier: Choose Apple menu System Preferences, click Apple ID, then click iCloud.
Tap on iCLoud Drive. Tap on the file the folder is on. Tap on the PDF file.
View and manage iCloud storage Click iCloud on the right, click Manage, then do any of the following: Upgrade your storage: Click Change Storage Plan or Add Storage, then follow the onscreen instructions.
If you dont need it, turn it off: Go to System Settings and click on your Apple ID. Choose iCloud. Click on iCloud Drive. Turn off Desktop Documents.
How to clear iCloud storage Delete duplicate photos on iPhone. Find old files in your iCloud Drive. Clean up junk files on Mac. Delete iCloud emails you dont need. Delete outdated backups. Delete all messages and email attachments. Empty all trashes.
