To fix Microsoft Edge not opening PDF files, open Edge, click on three dots on the top right, go to settings, click on cookies and site permissions, scroll down to PDF documents, make sure 'always download PDF file' is off and 'PDF view settings' is on. If not fixed, search for default apps, search for .pdf, set Microsoft Edge as default PDF opening app.
