The ZIP is the storage in which they are stored and i cant get them out of there. If you are prompted for a password then the files are encrypted. If they are encrypted then their owner wanted to prevent any person from opening them unless this person had the correct password.
There is little point in sending a password-protected zip file and the password in separate emails if hackers can access the email system. If the first email with the attachment is accessible, the second email with the password will be equally compromised.
Password Protect Zip Files Step 1 Open WinZip. Step 2 Using WinZips file pane select the file(s) you want encrypted. Step 3 Turn Encrypt to on position. Step 4 Select Add to Zip. Step 5 Save the zip file.
