hey guys so today Im going to show you how to disable what is called Windows orphan control in Microsoft Word and that is where it skips down when youre at the end of the paragraph it puts the sentences together so you dont have one line of the paragraph in the next page but you dont necessarily want that to happen and I didnt want to title this video how to disable orphan control because if its a problem for you you probably dont know that its called orphan control otherwise you would know how to disable it so um Im using Microsoft Word 13 but it should work the same in lower versions of Microsoft Word so were going to start by opening our word document and then you can scroll down and Ill show you what or control is first so you have your paragraph at the bottom of the page and youll see when you start typing instead of just having your new text go to the next page it also takes that other sentence and that changes the size of the margin in the page above but the sentenc

Stop Graphics and Text from Jumping Around Display the File tab of the ribbon, then click Options. Click Display at the left side of the dialog box. Select the Object Anchors check box. Click on OK. In Print Layout view, select the shape (the block arrow).
Select the lines that you want to keep together. On the Format menu, click Paragraph, and then click the Line and Page Breaks tab. Select the Keep lines together check box.
To insert a section break: Place the insertion point where you want to create the break. On the Page Layout tab, click the Breaks command, then select the desired section break from the drop-down menu. A section break will appear in the document.
Place your cursor after the last character, such as a period in a sentence. Press the Ctrl-Enter keys together, which forces a page break. Your documents remain stacked within the same file, but now they are separated.
Step 1: Put the cursor before the part of document you will protect, and then click the Breaks Continuous on the Page Layout tab. Then add a continuous break at the end of the part of document with same way. Step 2: Show the Restrict Editing pane with clicking the Restrict Editing button on the Review tab.
With the text box selected, choose Text BoxPositionMore Layout Options and check the Lock anchor option.
On the Review tab, in the Protect group, click Restrict Editing. In the Editing restrictions area, select the Allow only this type of editing in the document check box. In the list of editing restrictions, click No changes (Read only).
Shrink text to fit In the Quick Access toolbar at the top of the Word window, click Customize Quick Access Toolbar (the small down arrow) and choose More Commands. Under Choose commands from, click All Commands. Scroll down through the list of commands until you find Shrink One Page.
Under both the Horizontal and Vertical selections, select Absolute Position, and pick Page from the drop-down menu at the right. Also, click on the checkbox that says Lock anchor. Now, your pictures wont move around the page.
Go to Layout Breaks Page. Click or tap in the document where you want a page break. Go to Insert Page Break.
