To combine multiple PDFs into one document on your Mac, open all the PDFs you want to combine, select all, then go to file, print, choose PDF, save as PDF, select filename, save location, and click save. This will merge all pages into one new PDF.

In the Preview app on your Mac, open a PDF. Choose File Edit Permissions, then do any of the following: Set a password for opening the PDF: Select Require Password To Open Document. Enter a password, then retype it to verify.
How to add passwords and permissions to PDF files: Open a file in Acrobat and choose Tools Protect. Select whether you want to restrict editing with a password or encrypt the file with a certificate or password. Set password or security method as desired. Click OK and then click Save.
To lock a PDF in macOS: Open the PDF file in Preview. Click on File and then Export. Choose PDF as the file format. Check the Encrypt box and enter a password in the Password field. Re-enter the password to confirm it. Choose a location to save the locked PDF and click Save.
Using Mac Preview to reorder PDF pages. Select View. Choose Thumbnails or View. Alternatively, you can also select Contact Sheet. Drag the pages to your new desired location for them.
How to convert a PDF to read-only on Mac and Windows. Right-click your PDF. Select Properties. Choose Read-only. Click OK.
Require a password to open a document Choose File Set Password (from the File menu at the top of your screen), enter the requested information, then click Set Password. If your computer isnt set up for Touch ID, Remember this password in my keychain appears.
Open the PDF document you would like to password protect, select the Tools tab, scroll down to find the Protect Standardize section, select Protect. 2. The Protect tool bar will appear, select the Encrypt button drop menu. Here you can either Encrypt with a Certificate or Encrypt with a Password.
