To combine multiple PDFs into one PDF document on your Mac, locate the PDFs you want to combine and open them all. Select all the content, go to the file menu, and choose print. In the print menu, select the PDF option and save as PDF. Choose where to save the combined file, add any necessary info, and click save. The process will combine all pages into a new PDF.

Password-protect a PDF in Preview on Mac In the Preview app on your Mac, open a PDF. Choose File Export. Click the Permissions button, then do any of the following: Enter a password in the Owner Password section, then retype it to verify. Click Apply, then click Save.
To lock a PDF in macOS: Open the PDF file in Preview. Click on File and then Export. Choose PDF as the file format. Check the Encrypt box and enter a password in the Password field. Re-enter the password to confirm it. Choose a location to save the locked PDF and click Save.
