With Acrobat Pro, follow the steps below to flatten your PDF: Make a copy of your PDF. Choose Advanced Print Production Flattener Preview. Adjust the Raster/Vector balance. Select Convert All Text To Outlines. Deselect Clip Complex Regions. Click Apply to flatten the PDF. Close the Flattener Preview dialog box.
In the top menu, click on File and bring your mouse down to where it says Save as Other in the contextual menu. In the next menu that pops up, select Save as Flatten. Thats it! Thats all you need to do to flatten a PDF in Mac.

On your Mac, you can also export the file as flattened: Open a PDF file. Go to the FillSign mode. Select Export as Flattened.
In the Preview app on your Mac, open the PDF that you want to compress. Choose File Export. Click the Quartz Filter pop-up menu, then choose Reduce File Size.
