You look at it, and the footer is floating up there. Its not where you want it to be. Looking at it and going, what? Oh. It just doesnt look good, right? Not looking good is an understatement, looks like crap. Theres a number of different ways we can fix it. So in this video, were gonna be looking at how we can use Flexbox and Grid to fix it. Cause Flexbox is sort of the easy solution, but Ive been putting display Grid on my body all the time lately because I find it really cool and useful. Scroll to the bottom of the page and double-click on your footer. It should now read Footer -Section 2-. Click on Link to Previous in the ribbon. This button should be deselected to ensure that the footers are different in each section.
How to Make a Footer in Word Click on the Insert menu. Click Footer. Choose the footer style that you want to use from the options provided. If you dont want to use any of the footer styles, click on Edit Footer to create your own custom footer. Edit or add text to your footer.
Click or tap the page at the beginning of a section. Select Layout Breaks Next Page. Double-click the header or footer on the first page of the new section. Click Link to Previous to turn it off and unlink the header or footer from the previous section.
Open the document you want to lock within Microsoft Word and place the cursor before the part of the document you want to protect. Click the Review tab. Select Protect and click Restrict Editing thereafter.
Add a standard or customized header or footer Go to Insert Header or Footer. Choose from a list of standard headers or footers, go to the list of Header or Footer options, and select the header or footer that you want. When youre done, select Close Header and Footer or press Esc.
Restrict Editing Click Review Protect Restrict Editing. Under Editing restrictions, select Allow only this type of editing in the document, and make sure the list says No changes (Read only). Select Yes, Start Enforcing Protection.
Click or tap where you want to start a new page without the header or footer. Go to Layout Breaks Next Page to create a section break. Double-click the header or footer area to open the Header Footer tab. Select Link to Previous to turn off the link between the sections.
Open the template that you want to help protect from changes. On the Developer tab, in the Protect group, click Protect Document, and then click Restrict Formatting and Editing. In the Protect Document task pane, under Editing restrictions, select the Allow only this type of editing in the document check box.
Open a Word document that has text boxes. Click the Review tab, then click the Restrict Editing button in the Protect group. Word displays a pane allowing you to manage editing permissions for specific parts of the document, including text boxes.
You can use the RemoveHeadersAndFooters method to remove all header and footer information from a word processing document. Be aware that you must not only delete the header and footer parts from the document storage, you must also delete the references to those parts from the document too.
