hey this is nick amazing at century december 2020 and i want to do a quick video to highlight our footnote search uh because you can not just search in documents sections documents you can also do in table or in table and footnote or just footnote search so uh im in our document search and all im going to do is im going to enter in footnote and im going to do extra weeks so what im doing is obviously theres a lot of interesting things going on in the footnotes as always in a specific case im looking for companies where the fiscal year calendar has an extra week this is a big deal if uh lets say a retail uh the top line is growing at those single digits the next week is two percent so you have to adjust for that so if you want to see how companies uh disclose this whether its for benchmarking purposes or or analysis and so on you just do in footnote and you look for extra weight so for example if you jump here in medtronic you can say the extra week was uh 360 to 390 uh millio

Simply list the page number of the contract and the relevant section. In some circumstances, you may need to directly quote the contract in a letter instead of just making a reference. Quoting a contract can be useful if the contract includes complex language or is very long.
Footnotes will always appear at the bottom of the page where the reference occurs and endnotes go on a separate page after the body of the paper. Place the note number at the end of the sentence in which the reference occurs and after any punctuation; remember to superscript it.
Go to the Insert menu and click Footnote to open the Footnote and Endnote box. Select the options you want in the Footnote and Endnote box. You can choose between footnotes and endnotes, numbering format, custom marks and symbols, a starting number, and whether to apply the numbering to the whole document.
I recommend that you never use footnotes in a contract. Just say in a regular provision whatever needs saying. Using a footnote to suggest that whats in the footnote is of lesser significance is analogous to using the phrase in particular to highlight a provision (see MSCD 13.343).
Footnotes appear on the bottom of the page that contains the sentence to which it refers. Endnotes are listed at the end of the paper on separate pages. On the top of the first page, the title Notes is centered one inch from the top of the page. Endnote pages are placed before the bibliography.
Footnotes are positioned at the bottom of the page, whereas endnotes are positioned together on a page at the end of the document. A footnote or an endnote consists of two parts the note reference mark and the corresponding note text.
In both MLA and APA, a footnote example includes the citation found at the bottom, or foot, of the page corresponding to the superscript number found in the body of the work. The footnote might consist of the type of work and authors name along with other information related to the type of citation.
Footnotes appear at the bottom of the page and endnotes come at the end of the document. A number or symbol on the footnote or endnote matches up with a reference mark in the document.
