The side with the seam on a ream of paper is the side of the paper that should face up when put into the printer or copier paper tray. Copy paper is made with a slight curl to offset an opposite curl that occurs in the manufacturing process.
Solution Make sure that the printer is on, and then remove any paper from the Rear Tray. Open the printer properties dialog box. Click the Maintenance tab and then Roller Cleaning. Confirm the displayed message and click OK. Make sure that the Paper Feed Roller stops rotating. Confirm the displayed message and click OK.
