[Music] hello this is greg from sharepointmaven and in todays video i would like to show you how you can add comments to an item in a microsoft list now we could add comments to documents for quite some time let me demonstrate that to you really quick so here is a document on one of my team sites and lets say i want to add a comment we can do it in the browser we can do it on the native app i open this document in the browser here we go and i can you know i can um you know add a comment right here so here we go perfect all right so um heres a comment added to the document uh now we can now do the same in a list as well quite easy to do let me show you how to do that uh let me navigate back so heres my project list there are a couple of ways for you to add comments you can either hover over the uh item where you want to add comments and you can click on this little comment icon over here or you can just literally just open this up um you know the the item itself and then click that

If youre already editing the document (Edit Document Edit in Word Web App), click Review Show comments. Click a comment in the Comments pane. Check the box below the comment to mark it as done.

As always, Word has default style for comments.Method 1: Use Shortcuts To begin with, put insertion pointer at the start of the first comment text. Next press Ctrl+ Shift+ End. You will see all comment texts are in selection then. Then go to change the formatting as you like.
Here is an example of a conclusion versus a resolution: Resolution: The team happily celebrated their victory after a challenging face-off with their rival. Here, the resolution marks the end of a story.
Resolving a comment keeps the comment but shows it as Resolved so those collaborating on the piece can see the issue has been fixed. Deleting the comment removes it completely. If you want other teammates to know an issue was dealt with, use Resolve.
To mark a comment as resolved: Click in the comment text of the comment you are going to mark as resolved. Click the Resolve icon below the comment text (see Figure 5 above). Right-click in the comment and select Resolve Comment.
Remove comments from a Word document To delete a single comment in the document, right-click the comment, and choose Delete Comment. To delete all the comments in the document, go to the Review tab, click the down-arrow on Delete, and choose Delete All Comments in Document.
To list only unresolved or resolved comments in the list, select Show unresolved or Show resolved, respectively.
To view all comments, including all resolved comments, open the Comments pane by clicking Comments in the ribbon. You can interact with comments in the Comments pane the same as you would in the contextual view. If you reopen a resolved comment, it will be visible again in the contextual view.
An Employee Comment Sheet is a written record about work performance. Employees shall be allowed to attach a written response to an Employee Comment Sheet.
