You want to check exactly what these are, and if theyre still valid or not. Now one option is to go to the data tab, click on edit links and check the location of each link one by one. Find External Links using Edit Links Option Go to the Data Tab. In the Connections group, click on Edit Links. It opens the Edit Links dialog box will list all the workbooks that are being referenced. Click on Break Links to convert all linked cells to values.
The difference between the plain text and the hyperlink is just the format! The specific format of the hyperlink is associated with an event to directing you the to link address in the browser, and this is just a functionality and does not affect the size.
