How to Change Font Size in HTML. To change font size in HTML, use the CSS font-size property. Set it to the value you want and place it inside a style attribute. Then add this style attribute to an HTML element, like a paragraph, heading, button, or span tag.
Select the hyperlink and click Underline in the Font group to remove the underline. With the hyperlink still selected, click Font Color (Font group), and choose a new font color, such as Automatic, black or the same color as the rest of your text.
We can use the font-size property through inline, internal, or external styling. This size attribute can take in value from 1-7 in which the text size increases from 1 to 7.

Body text - Font sizes should be around 16px to 18px for legibility (or 1.6rem to 1.8rem using our sizing rules mentioned above). If you can afford to go a bit larger, then even 21px can be pleasant to read. Headings - The headings should be around 1.96 times larger than your body text to create a sufficient contrast.
For traditional computer monitors, a size of 12pt (=16px) for body is generally recommended for body text (depending on audience). Ensure that default fonts are no smaller than 9 pt (=12px). Smaller sizes may be illegible on some platforms.
To change the font size in HTML, use the style attribute. The style attribute specifies an inline style for an element. The attribute is used with the HTML tag, with the CSS property font-size. HTML5 do not support the tag, so the CSS style is used to add font size.
So, if a font is 12 pixels in height, that means it takes up 12 pixels on your screen from the top of the letter, to the bottom, which also includes the characters that have sections which are under the guide line, such as a p character.
By entering a value of +1 for the size attribute you designate your text to be displayed one size bigger which then equates to size 4. Likewise a value of +2 equates to font size 5. Going in the other direction, a value of -1 equates to size 2 and -2 equates to size 1 (basefont size 3 - 2 = font size 1).
