Get online data into your Excel workbook with data types. Microsoft 365 subscribers can find them by selecting the Data tab. (gentle upbeat music) Select the arrow to preview many types, chemistry, space, food, zip codes, and even movies, lets add some favorite films. Then format by selecting Home, Format as Table. Select Data, and the icon to covert to the Movie data type. If theres a question about a movie, go to the Data Selector and Select the correct movie. Select the icon to see a card of data. Select the Insert Data icon to show the data you can add, like director, then add more. Double-click the column to auto adjust all columns, and Format to get your data looking just right. How do you import data from external sources?

Importing Data using an Existing Connection Step 1 Click the DATA tab on the Ribbon. Step 2 Click Existing Connections in the Get External Data group. The Existing Connections dialog box appears. Step 3 Select the connection from where you want to import data and click Open.
