okay so first of all this is the document that I have been working on in the previous videos and in this video Im going to show you how to make cross references in Word so Im going to go to references and then cross reference and then Im going to select figure and Im going to select only label and number and then insert and close and you can see it has inserted the label figure one and if I hold down ctrl and click on it it will take me to figure 1 in the document and I can also put this in brackets if I want to or I can manually edit this to say fig dot 1 and then if I hold down ctrl and click on it it will still take me to figure 1 in the document so I can change this to say whatever I want now another way of doing this is to go to insert and select cross reference here instead and then there are a number of other options for the reference type and also for the text to insert I am just going to show a couple more examples of this so if I select above slash below and then insert a

Click on Insert - Reference - Cross-reference. In the dialog box, select Figure as Reference type, then select Only label and number, pick Figure 1 , click Insert. Now, we have Figure inserted in the text. So, we have Figure 1 and 2 in the text.
Answers Select the picture. On the Insert tab of the ribbon, click Bookmark in the Links group. Specify a name, for example MyPicture, then click Add. Select the text where you want the hyperlink. On the Insert tab of the ribbon, click Hyperlink in the Links group.
From the References tab, in the Captions group, select Cross-reference . In the Cross-reference dialog box, select the reference type and other options. In the For which caption section, select the item you want to reference and select Insert .
Create a hyperlink to a location in another document Press Ctrl+K. You can also right-click the text or picture and click Link on the shortcut menu. Under Link to, click Existing File or Web Page. In the Look in box, click the down arrow, and find and select the file that you want to link to.
TXT is considered the original text file format and the equivalent of the binary file. Since a TXT file doesnt contain any formatting such as bolding or fonts, no separate software is needed to open or edit it. Most operating systems include word processing programs that can create and open the TXT format.
Add captions Select the object (table, equation, figure, or another object) that you want to add a caption to. On the References tab, in the Captions group, click Insert Caption. In the Label list, select the label that best describes the object, such as a figure or equation.
In your file, make sure that youve inserted a photo. On the Insert tab, in the Text group, click Text Box, drag to draw a text box anywhere near the picture, and then type your text.
Add the link Select the text or object you want to use as a hyperlink. Right-click and then click Hyperlink . Under Link to, click Place in This Document. In the list, select the heading or bookmark that you want to link to.
