hey this is mikey with another after effects quick tip in this video im going to show you how to link text together with an expression to create complex texting styles so this is a basic expression that you can do with text in after effects so i just brought up a new text layer lets call this link im going to duplicate that call this one text now what im going to do is im going to take the text layer the second one thats called text and im going to link it to the link layer and how this works is i come in here to the under text and says source text and i do that on both of them and then im going to hold down option or alt on the keyboard click on the stopwatch and im going to link it to the source text now you can see they both say link on him and so if i come into this layer change it to whatever and then itll itll just map it across itll dynamically change that and so what you can do with this is some cool stuff so lets make kind of a cool textile im going to kind of o
