Also known as a hyperlink, a clickable link is a section of text or a pasted URL that's added to a post or page of your blog, and when clicked on, it will redirect your browser window to a new web page (or open that clicked upon web page in a new browser tab).
Hyperlinks that link to an email address are called mailto links. When a user clicks on a mailto link it will open an email client with the email address in the To: field, ready for the user to compose an email.
How to make an email link in HTML Open your HTML file and choose where to insert your email link. Type in the anchor tag "a href=" after the "<" symbol to show a link in your HTML code. Include the "mailto:" tag after the "=" to send the link to an email address.
Create a hyperlink to a location in another document Select the text or picture that you want to display as a hyperlink. Press Ctrl+K. ... Under Link to, click Existing File or Web Page. In the Look in box, click the down arrow, and find and select the file that you want to link to.
Right-click anywhere on the link and, on the shortcut menu, click Edit Hyperlink. In the Edit Hyperlink dialog, select the text in the Text to display box. Type the text you want to use for the link, and then click OK.
