In this tutorial, we learn how to disable PDF printing by making the document secure using a PDF writer. By deselecting the allowed printing checkbox and clicking publish, the document becomes protected with a .pdc extension. This protected PDF file can only be viewed with the Locklizard Secure PDF Viewer, where printing is disabled and cannot be accessed through keyboard shortcuts. The safeguard secure viewer opens the protected document with the print icon greyed out, ensuring that printing is effectively disabled.
