The higher the dpi the better the resolution and the better copy/print quality. For example, 1200 X 1200 dpi will give you better resolution or copy/print quality than 600 X 600 dpi, thus giving you better copy/print quality and better half tones. Almost all of Kyocera copiers and printers are 1200 X 1200 dpi capable.
Full HD is just another term for 1080p or 1920x1080, and those are all ways of referring to the same resolution. By contrast, 4K has a resolution of 3840x2160. Thats a lot more pixels in the overall image totaling over 8 million pixels. As always, the higher the resolution, the sharper the picture will be.
What is 300 dpi? If an image has a resolution of 300 DPI, this means that every inch contains 300 dots of ink. Photographers and graphic designers typically use 300 DPI as a benchmark for printing high-quality images. However, larger images may require an even higher resolution.
On Windows, find the image in File Explorer, right-click on it and choose Properties from the menu. There, click the Details tab and look for Vertical resolution and Horizontal resolution in the list, which will show you the images DPI.
300DPI for example, equals 118.11 PPI. For a good printing 300 DPI is standard, sometimes 150 is acceptable but never lower, you may go higher for some situations.
A good quality print will require a resolution of 900 x 1260 pixels. For a better-quality print, use 1200 x 1680 pixels. Finally, for the best quality, you should go with 1500 x 2100 pixels. Also, keep in mind the viewing distance.
Low Resolution Images Images used on the internet are typically 72 dpi. This is a suitable resolution for websites since it enables a small file size and does not look visibly pixelated on most computer screens. However, images at 72 dpi will ALWAYS look pixelated and low-resolution when printed.
For television and consumer media, 1920 1080 is the most common 2K resolution, but this is normally referred to as 1080p.
A 1080p resolution means the image has 1920 pixels horizontally by 1080 vertically (1920x1080). You can find the total pixels in the image by multiplying those two numbers (the height and width) together, meaning a 1080p image has more than 2 million pixels.
1920x1080 - Full HD 1080p 1920x1080 is one of the most popular monitor resolutions that people use. This is due to the fact that you are able to have great, clear image quality at this resolution and it doesnt require a top tier computer to power.
