The latest versions (after MS Office 2007) allow you to save the document as a pdf, thus avoiding formatting errors. Go to Files-Save As and select . pdf format from Save As Type. Click to save.

2. Combine all files of a folder to One PDF document Select the folder from Windows Explorer. Right-click the folder to show the context menu. Click Combine to one PDF menu option. From the Save As dialog box, choose a folder path and name of the PDF file to be created. Click Save.
From the library panel on the left, select Files Folders then double-click Get Specified Finder Items. Add the all the files to convert. From the library panel, now select Documents , then double click Convert Format of Word Documents. From the dropdown menu, select Portable Document Format (PDF)
Click the Select a file button above, or drag and drop your Word doc into the drop zone. Select the RTF, TXT, DOCX, or DOC file you want to convert into the PDF format. Watch Acrobat automatically convert the file. Download your new PDF or sign in to share it.
Under Export, make sure Create PDF/XPS Document is selected, and then click the Create PDF/XPS button on the right. Youll get an Explorer window, make sure PDF is selected next to Save Type As. Select where you want the PDF to be saved.
From the File Tab Using Add Files or Add Folder select the files you wish to merge/convert into a single PDF. Select any additional options when converting the files. Add bookmarks for each merged document.
