Use the urljoin method from the urllib. parse module to join a base URL with another URL, e.g. result = urljoin(base_url, path) . The urljoin method constructs a full (absolute) URL by combining a base URL with another URL.
os. path. join combines path names into one complete path. This means that you can merge multiple parts of a path into one, instead of hard-coding every path name manually.
A URL for HTTP (or HTTPS) is normally made up of three or four components: A scheme. The scheme identifies the protocol to be used to access the resource on the Internet. ... A host. The host name identifies the host that holds the resource. ... A path. ... A query string.
The steps are highlighted below: Import the urllib library. Define the primary goal. Declare the variable webUrl, then use the URL lib library's urlopen function. The URL we're going to is .python.org. After that, we are going to print the result code.
The 9 parts of a URL are the protocol (or scheme), subdomain, domain name, top level domain, port, path, query, parameters, and fragment.
Urllib package is the URL handling module for python. It is used to fetch URLs (Uniform Resource Locators). It uses the urlopen function and is able to fetch URLs using a variety of different protocols. Urllib is a package that collects several modules for working with URLs, such as: urllib.

You can get the current url by doing path_info = request. META.
Before we run the code to connect to Internet data, we need to import statement for URL library module or “urllib”. Import urllib. Define your main function. Declare the variable webUrl. Then call the urlopen function on the URL lib library. The URL we are opening is guru99 tutorial on youtube.
Using os. path. join makes it obvious to other people reading your code that you are working with filepaths. People can quickly scan through the code and discover it's a filepath intrinsically.
